About Ring of Steel

Ring of Steel Action Theatre is a stage combat organization in Ann Arbor providing professional training, choreography, and fight services. As one of the largest theatrical fencing salles in the nation, The Ring of Steel teaches classes in swordplay and stuntwork along with 15 basic combat skill areas; provides in-house workshops; choreographs for film, stage, and TV; offers summer camps and programs.

About Endor Labs

Endor Labs is a software supply chain security (SSCS) platform for organizations that value developer experience. We help DevSecOps teams build credibility with developer-centric tools that make it safer and faster to use open source (OSS) code, easier to detect CI/CD risks, and simpler to comply with SSCS regulations. Existing Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) tools bury teams in uncontextualized data and tens of thousands of false positive alerts. Endor Labs’s new approach cuts 80% of the noise while providing actionable fix information that actually makes developers faster.

What do movie magic, networking, and application security have in common?

They’re all awesome, that’s what!

Meet other AppSec practitioners, learn some stage combat lightsaber moves from a legit stunt choreographer, and enjoy snacks and apps on us.

Here’s what the evening looks like:

  • Come dressed in closed-toed shoes and an outfit you can move comfortably in.
  • Check in and choose your training saber
  • We’ll spend 90 minutes with Christopher Barbeau, professional stunt trainer and owner of Ring of Steel. Whether you want to learn some cool moves or just learn what happens behind the scenes on a movie set, this workshop is incredibly fun.
  • Take a breather with light apps and drinks while we tell you a bit about Endor Labs
  • Chat with your AppSec friends and show off your new moves!
  • One lucky attendee will leave with a super cool thing
