DOCUMENTATION: A heap based buffer overflow flaw has been discovered in PostgreSQL. This Heap buffer overflow is in the pgcrypto component and allows a ciphertext provider to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database.
MITIGATION: Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
